One of the things I love about Nesse's books is that he has the ability to write so that the content is not excessively dry.
The text from my petrology class poorly explained optics and was filled with more jargan than anything. Nesse uses illustrations and explains when jargan is necessary. If you are a petrology instructor, I highly suggest this book for your class. Arrived with damaged corners and a big sticker that cannot be cleanly removed No easy exchange options :. This book helped me through so many classes wish I just bought it the first time around.
